Poreklo Nivada ide sve do kraja XIX veka. Ovaj vek je karakteriše veliki impuls u nauci i tehnologiji. U 1879 upoznata fabrika je započela proizvodnju satova u srcu Grenchen, gradić smešten u North Švajcarske, Bernu. Ovoj fabrici je doprinelo činjenici da je mala evropska Zemlja poznata kao proizvođač satova vrhunskog kvaliteta širom sveta.

The origin of Nivada goes as far as the end of the XIX Century. This Century was characterized by a great impulse in science and technology. In 1879 a familiar factory started the manufacture of watches in the heart of Grenchen, a small town located at the Northeast of Switzerland, near Geneve and Bern. This factory contributed to the fact that a small European country was known as a producer of watches of the highest quality throughout the world.
